Selection Process
ur interior design staff, who specialize in selections and interior design, will meet with you to discuss the selections process, timetables, as well as some of your general preferences and style. At the beginning of the project, a timeline for selection meetings is set, to assure your project is delivered on time and on budget
Appliance Selections
Select major appliances, such as washer, dryer, refrigerator/freezer, dishwasher, oven, range/cooktop, microwave, outdoor appliances, beverage center, wine cooler.
Cabinet Layout
Discuss your specific desires for both function and style of cabinetry in your kitchen, baths, laundry, office, great room, and other rooms in your new home. Drawings will be reviewed for your approval.
Plumbing Selections
Select plumbing fixtures, such as tubs, sinks, faucets, etc.
Trim Selections
Review recommendations and decide on style of millwork, such as trim, crown, base, corbels, etc.
Fireplace Mantels & Surrounds
If planning on gas fireplace insert, you will meet at a fireplace store to select your fireplace. Whether real wood burning or gas, Rick Hendel will also meet with you to discuss fireplace surround ideas that will enhance your interior style.
Tile & Countertop Selections
Select your tile for bathrooms, kitchen backsplashes, flooring, etc. Depending on your countertop selections, you will pick out your counter surface such as granite, marble, concrete, soapstone, slate, limestone, hard surfaces, etc.
Flooring Selections
If wood floors are chosen, you will select your wood floor type and color. Carpet will also be selected.
Low Voltage
We will meet with you to decide on low voltage wiring for computers, TV, security systems, central vac, etc.
Lighting Selections
Select lighting fixtures that compliment your style and interior design of your new home.
Color Selections
Decide on colors for exterior walls, roof, and trim and interior finishes and hardware for cabinetry, floors finish, wall and trim colors, etc.
Interior Design & Furnishings
We will help select furnishings and accessories and coordinate them with the style and direction of the home.
